WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has triggered a fresh wave of online attention after appearing with noticeably darker hair during a trip to New Jersey.
Trump was photographed stepping off Air Force One at Morristown Municipal Airport on Sept. 4 with hair that appeared significantly darker than his familiar blond style. The images quickly circulated online, prompting jokes, comparisons and speculation over whether the change was deliberate.
The White House has not explained the apparent change, and there is no confirmation that Trump actually dyed his hair. Photographs from the following day showed him golfing while wearing a red cap, making it difficult to determine whether the darker look was permanent.
The episode came only days after Trump again rejected longstanding claims that he wears a wig, pointing to a windy campaign appearance as evidence that his hair is his own.
